The funeral of Ali Lariyani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, who died in Israeli bombings, will be held this Wednesday, March 18, at 1:30 p.m. local time at Enghelab Square in Tehran, according to the Tasnim news agency.

Lariyani died alongside his son, a deputy, and multiple bodyguards in a zionist attack that targeted the country’s most important defense and security decision-making body, the National Security Council confirmed to the Mizan news agency.

The ceremonies will also honor Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of the Basij paramilitary militia, whose death in a separate Israeli military bombing was confirmed by Iranian authorities yesterday.

Authorities further announced they would pay tribute to 84 Iranian sailors killed on March 4 in a US bombing strike.

The Washington-Tel Aviv joint war against Iran started on February 28, and has since killed several prominent figures within the Islamic Revolution, including former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Tehran has retaliated against U.S. military targets in the middle east and Israel.
